The Cleveland Cavaliers have a history of sounding better than they play, as was the case in the '70s when they had this groovy funk theme that they used for promos and to kick off the radio broadcasts, which I listened to regularly:
Unfortunately, I can't find the polka song that Ted Stepien replaced "Come On Cavs!" with. It wasn't as good--it was, in fact, awful--and it debuted, if I remember correctly, with a giant, powder puff blue teddy bear mascot.
And Joe Tait, who is retiring this year, is a great basketball announcer. For many years, he was the best thing the Cavs had. And he is, yet again. Until he retires after this season.
